Part Time Driver - 4 positions
Job Description
Requirements:
-
Minimum H.S. Diploma
-
Pass all Pre-Employment background checks (Criminal, DCF, Sex Offender, Drug Screens)
-
Valid Driver’s License- no history of suspensions
-
Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)- no moving violations of any kind in last 3 years
-
1-3 Years of Transportation Scheduling experience preferred but not required
-
Must have reliable transportation
Duties and Responsibilities:
-
Works with schools, parents, patients, transportation staff, to provide reliable transportation services and modifications
-
Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of trip schedules;
-
Maintain professional demeanor with passengers, school officials, foster parents, social workers at all times;
-
Ensure safety of child passengers including but not limited to ensuring proper pickup and drop off locations. Ensure on time pickups and drop offs ;
-
Maintain clear communications with management regarding late pickups, incidents with passengers, inclement weather conditions, etc.;

Confirming scheduled routes Via text message reply; Must have a smartphone

Reads and interprets GPS maps and driving directions to plan the most efficient route service for passengers;
Required education:

High school or equivalent
Required experience:
-
working with children and families: at least 1 year
Required licenses or certifications:

Valid Drivers License

Part Time Aide - 2 positions
Student Transportation Aides assist drivers to transport students between home and school. They assist students with loading, unloading and student management on a car or van. Student Transportation Aides are employed part-time, often working split shifts of mornings (6a-9a) and afternoons (1p-5p).
Primary responsibilities
-
Assists the driver with the safety, movement, management, and care of the students boarding the school bus, leaving the vehicle or being transported.

Sits in an area on the vehicle to ensure observation of all passengers at all times & make sure they are following safety rules.
-
Assists the driver in reporting bus safety or conducts issues by students
-
Is aware of problems between students and keeping those students separated by assigning seats.
-
Is responsible for securing students who ride in child carseats, etc.
-
Attends all safety meetings or other required training.
-
Evacuate students from vehicle as trained in case of emergency
-
Assists driver with pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
-
Maintains student conduct at all times.
-
Assists driver in keeping the vehicle clean and inspect for damages and repairs on a daily basis.
-
Ensures students take their belongings as they leave the vehicle.
-
Completes written logs or reports as required for fuel, mileage, student counts, etc.
-
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications

Good personal appearance, manners, cleanliness and positive attitude

Must be able to pass pre-employment background and drug screen

High School Diploma or GED preferred
-
Proficiency in English, both verbal and written

Clean Background Check and Driving Record

Ability to receive and carry out instructions to perform work
